Researchers at the University of Bath, Department of Psychology, are looking for mothers of children between the ages of 0 to 5 years to take part in a new study that uses an Immersive Virtual Reality Environment to recreate in mothers the feelings and experiences of being a young child.

Participating in the study will involve visiting the University of Bath on two occasions, one week apart. Participants will be at the university for around an hour on each occasion. As a thank you for taking part participants will be reimbursed £10.

It is hoped that this research will help psychologists understand whether it is possible to use Virtual Reality Environments to work with parents who struggle to understand the world from a child’s perspective in the future.

If you would like to be involved in the study or have any question please contact Jac Airdrie, Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Bath. Email:
