Christmas Paper Cutting with Aimee Richards
Sat December 7 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm GMT
One event on Sat December 7, 2019 at 2:00pm
In this three hour class, Aimee Richards from Miss Bespoke Papercuts will teach you the mindful art and techniques of paper cutting.
Aimee starts the workshop by showing you how to use your scalpel properly on a beginners template sheet so that you can then go onto cut a Christmas card (or two, depending on how quick you are!) – that you’ll then be able to take home with you, alongside knowledge of how to continue should you catch the paper cutting bug!
You will cut a Christmas card template of your choice-there is ‘Seasons Greetings; ‘Christmas Wishes’ and ‘Merry Christmas’ to pick from. You don’t need to have any drawing skills to attend this workshop, so you can just relax into learning a new craft, and you will be given kraft cards and envelopes to glue your artwork down.
All equipment and refreshments are provided for the duration of the session so you don’t need to bring anything but yourself – and a pair of glasses if you need them.
Should you wish to buy a kit to take home with you for an additional £12, just select this option from the drop down menu. Each kit will contain a cutting mat, scalpel, five blades, full beginners instructions, three projects and backing papers.
Spaces are limited to ensure you receive as much guidance as you need so we shall have a maximum number of 8 students per session.
Please note that places on our workshops are non-refundable but are transferable to a friend. We automatically send out a beautiful voucher as part of the booking process so it makes a great gift for someone too!
Having taught over 200 people now, Aimee is confident that this introduction will then give you the momentum to carry on and you will also be granted access to the exclusive ‘Beginners Papercutters’ FB group which shares tips and inspiration from 150 + other people who have attended one of courses in Portsmouth and Godalming.
Aimee is a self taught paper cut illustrator with an eye for detail and the majority of her paper cuts are hand drawn and hand cut with her scalpel. She has taught workshops for over four years (including for the John Lewis Craft Partnership) and has collaborated with Birchbox and Not On The High Street for their February subscription box.
