Safe In Your Hands is run and owned by Sue Wheeler. She is a qualified teacher and nursery nurse. She has been working with children and young people for over 20 years.
She started her teaching career in 1998 after qualifying from King Alfred’s University. She has spent her career working in different schools and nurseries within West Sussex, Spain and Bath and more recently at Bath College and Barnardo’s in Bristol.
For 2 years she worked as a deputy manager at a nursery in Bath where she used her extensive knowledge and skills to offer quality childcare experiences for all that attended.
Within schools she had many roles including course leader and D&T co-ordinator. She is passionate about creating an environment where learning and knowledge can be shared and absorbed.
Her passions continue into the field of safeguarding and when she was at Bath College she specialised in this area. This passion led her then to work for Barnardo’s for 2 years where she delivered child sexual exploitation training to the night time economy both within Bristol and throughout South Gloucestershire.
She believes that training should not just be a way to gain new skills and knowledge but it should also be a valuable opportunity to meet and interact with other practitioners and professionals; build relationships and to share good practise and support each other through what can be a challenging time.
Open every weekend during term time and workshops during the school holidays, come join the fun!
At Stagecoach we teach our students so much more than how to sing, dance and act. We help them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all its opportunities.
With 30 years’ experience in teaching the performing arts, we understand how to get the best out of our young performers. We delight in seeing our students have fun, make friends, learn new skills and discover hidden talents.
We encourage them to take ‘safe risks’ through rehearsals and performance, which brings out a willingness to take on new challenges. None of us know what the future holds, which is why it’s so important for today’s children to be resilient, brave and self-assured.
Furthermore you can rest assured that your child is in safe hands as we adhere to the strictest child safety policies.
As well as our weekly classes we also offer LAMDA, Trinity exams, performance opportunities locally and in the West End and our very own Stagecoach Agency.

– Treehouse Project (Specialist Recovery for victims of Human Trafficking)
The TRC was founded in Bath in 2011 by Betsy de Thierry, in order to see children recover from trauma.
The TRC employs creative psychotherapists who specialise in the Trauma Recovery approach in order to help children & young people process their trauma and support them as they piece their lives back together until a wholeness can be found.
The parents and carers engage in a Psychoeducation course called ‘Parenting the traumatised child’ which provides therapeutic support, and an understanding of how trauma impacts a child’s brain, with helpful strategies for the home life. This course is based on the book: The Simple Guide to Child Trauma (Betsy de Thierry, 2017).
We hold as a high value our work and support of the parents/carers, and our experience of supporting teachers to form a holistic support service. Oakside Creative Education Centre is a project that has been formed to provide additional support for the most vulnerable children and young people.
We are excited about the interconnectedness of the TRC Therapy centre and Oakside Creative, with the TRC Training Centre providing excellent cutting edge training in trauma recovery.
