The unique shopping experience offered by the team is one of a kind. Blue customers benefit from one-to-one assistance, presented with special and unusual clothing, footwear and accessories that are seemingly impossible to find on the high-street.
The most recent exciting venture at the Bath shop, is Baby Blue, introducing unique and charming children’s clothing, accessories and toys.
Additionally, Blue Home offers an eclectic mix of furniture and an interior design service, all provided by the talented team at Blue.
Our beautiful shop Blue was opened in Cheltenham in June 2000. It grew out of our previous Blues Music Club, where we would open during the interval of the evening performance. The success of the Blues Room gave us the motivation to launch our shop and we were more than delighted to be able to open in Bath three years later.
The initial incentive for the project was the belief that there was a huge gap in the market for interesting and individual clothes that could not be found on the high street, especially for women of all ages who are adventurous and progressive. Allied to this belief was that good design did not, of necessity cost more than poor design, enabling us to offer clothes across the full spectrum of price range.
Many years on and we are constantly changing and evolving, continuing to find new and exciting designs, together with an ever changing array of amazing accessories.
Canvasbutterfly started life as a collection of my artwork which I sell through the Bath Artisan Market and my online shop Canvasbutterfly on Etsy. I wanted to do more with my images and bring my wildlife artwork in particular to kids clothing. I raise money for Butterfly Conservation and this seemed a great way to help increase funding. I created a range Conscientiously Caring For Our Planet and give back to Conservation when I sell any of that range. A FANTASTIC creative experience for kids and adults alike you can DESIGN YOUR OWN t~shirt simply press Design your Own in the header and you are in the design studio where you can tweak a design from the vast range of free images or upload your painting image, kids poem, fabric collage, photos from your phone…..anything that can be scanned and turned into a file can be uploaded. Get the kids designing their favourite imaginative images and make them into their own t~shirts. What could be more rewarding. The t~shirts are made of 100% Organic cotton made in a renewable energy powered small factory on the Isle of Wight. Sustainable circular fashion caring for the planet.
We are a children’s luxury yet affordable streetwear brand selling the best high quality sets in ages 1-6 years.
Our clothing is very yeezy inspired and consists of more neutral colours.
Our Brand started over a year ago and we have been overwhelmed with the love & response we have received, not only from our customers from around the world but from the likes of many influencers & celebrities, our most recent supporter being Bay Bieber (Justin Bieber’s baby sister) and footballer Raheem Sterling’s son Thiago!
Our small business all started from the Owner, now a mother of two boys, sitting in her living room doodling designs whilst suffering from hyperemisis gravidarum.
It suddenly clicked that there weren’t very many neutral coloured clothing for children except for the occasional items in h&m & zara and so Desert Young was born.
The idea was to design a more sophisticated version of kids streetwear & make some beautiful unisex sets so it would be easy for parents, instead of trying to match tops with the bottoms! Sometimes it can take a while! 😂
We also wanted to have the best quality clothing possible and so we went for just that!
It is so wonderful to hear such amazing feedback about our quality of clothing and unique designs.
We wanted something super unique and trendy with a luxury feel and super affordable for every parent!

Freda Silk is inspired by a passion for dance, particularly the elegance of ballet, and a love of creating beautiful things.
My ballet skirts are handmade from beautiful flowing chiffon, georgette and crepe and are designed for children and adults of all shapes and sizes. Unusual patterns and colours make a refreshing change from classic ballet colours.
There is also a collection of Ballet Street Style – everyday skirts designed and cut to give the same elegance and drape as dance skirts.
Freda Silk festival skirts flaunt festival pizzazz with a dose of ballet elegance.
In contrast, I also experiment with block printed cotton from Rajasthan, making individually designed quilts and cushion covers – double, single, throws, cot and baby size. A lovely gift.
Freda Silk was my granny. I always thought her name made her sound like a lingerie designer, hence my adopting it here.

The collection epitomises the best of modern Britain, incorporating pieces from both the ’new school’ of forward-thinking British kids designers alongside vintage treasures. We bring you cutting edge design, world class quality and a healthy dose of fun, humour and eccentricity. By buying from Great & Good, you are supporting the British economy from root to branch.
We only work with brands who manufacture under the highest ethical production standards and support companies at the forefront of the revival in British manufacturing. We are about slow fashion, minimising wastage and maximising satisfaction for both producers and customers.
This year when many people can’t get out to the shops, we want to offer people in Bath and North Wiltshire an option to shop locally and receive quick, COVID-safe deliveries and returns.
Kidd & Bear was founded by husband and wife team Andy & Lucy. With their first child on the way and motivated by the lack of designful family focussed furniture and homeware on the market, they set up K&B to design and produce products that stylish families would be proud to display in their homes and perfect gifts for the whole family.
