The Loft, 1-2 Bartlett Street, BATH
Blue is a warm and friendly women’s clothing retailer, run by Mother-Daughter duo, Suzanne Temple and Chloe Harrison-Temple. There are two shops, one in Cheltenham and the other inside The Loft in Bath.
The unique shopping experience offered by the team is one of a kind. Blue customers benefit from one-to-one assistance, presented with special and unusual clothing, footwear and accessories that are seemingly impossible to find on the high-street.
The most recent exciting venture at the Bath shop, is Baby Blue, introducing unique and charming children’s clothing, accessories and toys.
Additionally, Blue Home offers an eclectic mix of furniture and an interior design service, all provided by the talented team at Blue.

Our beautiful shop Blue was opened in Cheltenham in June 2000. It grew out of our previous Blues Music Club, where we would open during the interval of the evening performance. The success of the Blues Room gave us the motivation to launch our shop and we were more than delighted to be able to open in Bath three years later.
The initial incentive for the project was the belief that there was a huge gap in the market for interesting and individual clothes that could not be found on the high street, especially for women of all ages who are adventurous and progressive. Allied to this belief was that good design did not, of necessity cost more than poor design, enabling us to offer clothes across the full spectrum of price range.
Many years on and we are constantly changing and evolving, continuing to find new and exciting designs, together with an ever changing array of amazing accessories.

Freda Silk
Handmade ballet skirts, ballet inspired street wear, festival skirts and quilts

Freda Silk is inspired by a passion for dance, particularly the elegance of ballet, and a love of creating beautiful things.

My ballet skirts are handmade from beautiful flowing chiffon, georgette and crepe and are designed for children and adults of all shapes and sizes. Unusual patterns and colours make a refreshing change from classic ballet colours.

There is also a collection of Ballet Street Style – everyday skirts designed and cut to give the same elegance and drape as dance skirts.

Freda Silk festival skirts flaunt festival pizzazz with a dose of ballet elegance.

In contrast, I also experiment with block printed cotton from Rajasthan, making individually designed quilts and cushion covers – double, single, throws, cot and baby size. A lovely gift.

Freda Silk was my granny. I always thought her name made her sound like a lingerie designer, hence my adopting it here.

Kidd & Bear creates and curates designful gifts, playthings and homewares for families who want their homes to remain stylish throughout parenthood.

Kidd & Bear was founded by husband and wife team Andy & Lucy. With their first child on the way and motivated by the lack of designful family focussed furniture and homeware on the market, they set up K&B to design and produce products that stylish families would be proud to display in their homes and perfect gifts for the whole family.
