Hello! Welcome to our ‘Diaries at the Ready’ feature for March 2019. There’s so much fun to be had in our beautiful city this month. From cheering on the runners at the brilliant Bath Half to the incredible Bath Taps into Science festival, it’s going to be a good ‘un! Family Events


Two Tunnels Colourburst Railway Races, Sunday 3rd March 2019,  Brickfields Open Space (BA2 1LX)

There will be two distances to chose from; 2km and 500m, each with multiple colour stations along the route! All runners will be given a white t-shirt to wear (small, medium or large). Prepare to get colour bursted!


Pancake Day, Tuesday 5th March. Yaasss! An excuse to stuff our faces with hundreds of lemony sugary cakes from the pan! If you fancy heading out for yours, we recommend Wild Cafe. Delish!


World Book Day, 7th March. What are yours going as? We’ve got a spy, 2 Batmen and a cat so far! For inspiration, head to one of our brilliant local libraries.


Big Bath Sleep Out, Friday 8th March 2019, Alice Park

Challenge yourself, your friends, your family and your work colleagues to spend one night sleeping outdoors, to help raise vital funds and make an incredible difference to those forced to sleep out every night.


Bath Taps in to Science, 9th to 16th March 2019, The Edge, Bath University

Explore, engage and experience science across a programme of activities ranging from fun hands-on activities at science fairs to talks from leading researchers. Bath Taps into Science (Bath Science Festival, organised and run by the University of Bath) is a brilliant week long festival for everyone. There are tonnes of fab family-friendly events, and they’re all FREE! We’re particularly looking forward to seeing CBBC presenter, Jon Chase, rapped guide to the Solar System!


Rock the Tots Party, New Oriel Hall, Monday 11th March

Come to Rock the Tot’s first event at the New Oriel Hall in Bath! They’ll be performing pop & rock classics, all with an animal theme! Bring your best tiger roars, koala cuddles and snakey shimmies!


Fortnite Nerf Event, Sunday 17th March, Beechen Cliff School

Fortnite & nerf guns?! Let the battle commence!


Bath Half Marathon, Sunday 17th March, Central

With its 13.1 mile course running through the centre of our World Heritage city, the Bath Half is the West County’s finest half marathon. If you’re not running, head in to town to cheer on those who are & soak up a brilliant atmosphere! There’s a handy race day guide here.


For Mother’s Day


Treat the mama in your life on the 31st March 2019:

Make her a beautiful gift at Julia Davey’s Introduction to Brush Lettering course on Saturday March 16th

Take her out for some delicious food at one of these cafes or restaurants.
