Ever wondered how Kids of Bath gets all it’s amazing content? Well the secret is that we have an amazing team of awesome community members and independent business owners typing furiously at their keyboards!
They have everything covered for us from helping us keep up to date with environmental issues (thanks Wicked Weather Watch!) to tips to help if your little one has colic (that’s Polly from The Bath Massage Company on hand!), and then everything in between! Let’s introduce you…
Starting off with the gorgeous Emma, Owner of Grace & Ted on Kingsmead Square, an independent designer re-sale boutique with a carefully curated treasure trove of delights for you to behold (and purchase at a snippet of their original price!). Emma is a beautifully articulate writer, with a love for all things fun and on trend! We also like to think of her as our very own ambassador for independent businesses in Bath… she has her finger on the pulse of all things business in the city and is our go to for the latest news and gossip! If you want to know what’s going on then ask her!!
Beth, Amy and Robyn
Next up are our foodie collaborators, as there’s nothing like an article on tantalising treats to inspire you for what to cook for dinner! We are so very lucky to have not one, but three amazing collaborators on hand to give us their latest recipes and foodie tips; the published author, supper club maker, artisan food provider Beth (aka The Free Range Chef) gives us her musings about life with food plus babba, Amy from Relish, the vegan supper club and catering company gives us the most delightful vegan recipes and last but not least we have Robyn from Goodness Grazers who puts together oh-so-fab platters using all local produce.
Laura, Erica, Hannah, Claire and Charlotte
If you’re looking for fitness, whether it be how to keep fit around the kids or if you should sign up to the Bath half (you know you want to!) then we also have our fabulous team of hugely motivating and positive fitness business owners to give us advice… Laura Louise Pilates, owner of Bath Boutique Pilates and PT helps us out with our core strength, Erica of Studio 37, PT extrodinaire and soon, owner of a newly converted gym in the depths of Somerset gives us her approach to a rounded lifestyle. We’ve got Hannah the Runner helping us with all things endurance and the gorgeous girls Claire and Charlotte from BYM Fitness up in Lansdown to help us focus and keep going!!
Kate, Alice and James
Alternatively, if you’re wishing for some content about shopping, and let’s face it we are spoilt for choice in Bath then we’ve got the articles for you! The lovely Kate from Spotty Herberts, the award winning independent children’s clothes and toy store set in the heart of Bath writes for us. We’ve also got James on hand from Larkhall’s The Beaufort Bookshop to talk all things literary and the gorgeous Alice of Bluebells of Bath to share with us the delights of her treasure trove gift shop based in the artisan quarter of Bath; Walcot Street.
Nell, Andy and Alex
If it’s more visual content that you like then the illustrators Andy of FiveBarGate Design and Alex of ATS Illustration, local illustrators often give us a delightful array of visual imagery to make us smile! The talented Nell Mallia also stuns us with her beautiful photos using natural light…
Hannah, Steph, Polly and Michelle
Would you rather something to sink your teeth into? Like health and wellbeing advice? or tips? Then look no further as we have a plethora of wonderful beings on hand to help you… The beautiful Polly from The Bath Massage Company has advice and tips galore when it comes to how touch can help you and your little ones, Doula Michelle Weeks gives us much sort after advice during the pregnancy and post partum periods of life, Steph from Glow Beauty (formerly BA1 beauty on Bartlett Street) gives us beauty advice, tips and trends to help us feel like we’re winning and the inspirational Hannah Jayne, wellbeing coach talks us through anxiety and depression and her story of how she copes with mental illness on a day to day basis.
Gill, Vicky and Sue
Kids of Bath also has covers educational topics too! The amazing ladies from Wicked Weather Watch provide us with information on how to be more ethical in our daily routines and provide some really fascinating tips and information about climate change, and also lots of fun activities we can follow! If you’re concerned about the fast paced world we live in and how technology plays a major role and is a big influence in family life then Sue of ‘Safe in Your Hands‘ talks to us about social media, and gives us tips on child safeguarding.
Kate and Jo
If you need hands on ideas for the kids then local Mums Kate from Kate Woods Crafts and Jo from Tiffany Tomato have a vast array of amazing crafty activities and fun things to do!!! Watch out for their step by step guides to keep the kids amused!
Sarah and Chris
Lastly we’ve got two very talented writers that we need to mention; Sarah, blogger from The Cafe Academic and Chris Windle, author, and man with many strings to his bow, whom bestow on us their words of wisdom (plus Bath gossip and much needed general life musings!).
It’s with the help of these amazing people that Kids of Bath is the website it is! We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in 2019!!! Find out more about them on our ‘Meet the Team‘ page!
