Where are you based and what do you do? I am an illustrator and Craft Designer working from home. I also run craft sessions for children in the beautiful workshop space at Julia Davey.
What inspired you to start your business? I have 2 children and wanted to try to do something that fits round my girls also in my previous life I worked for a children’s book publisher so my love for children’s books, illustrations and children’s products has been something I have loved for like … forever!
What do you love about running a business in Bath? Bath is so vibrant and there are so many creative people and businesses popping up all the time I am inspired constantly
You’ve got five minutes to grab a sandwich, where do you go? Well most of the time it’s a cheese sandwich and a cuppa at home, but if I want to splash out Boston Tea Party every time!
Where’s your favourite place to book for a business lunch or a meal/drink after a tough day? Yak Yeti Yak my goodness the food is amazing, business lunch- Beyond the Kale – Love that place! and The Forum for a good coffee.
Tell us about another Bath business you love and why? There’s a couple Julia Julia Davey at Bear Flat, such a beautiful space and gorgeous product, plus amazing workshops! And one that is a bit closer to home the Larkhall Farm Shop, there is fruit, veg, flowers and eco products and just the best business all sourced and grown locally.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business in the city? Just do it!, this is the best city that punches above its weight, with such a great source of knowledge and experience to tap into.
