This week we take a sneak peak inside the beautiful Enhance Medispa…. and the gorge owner Hannah Paradise tells us what she loves about Bath!
Where are you based and what do you do?
We are based just off of George Street on a small Georgian side street called Miles’s Buildings. We’re an independent Medispa specialising in beauty and aesthetic treatments. Our treatments range from a Doctor led injectables clinic to laser/IPL and your usual beauty treatments such as waxing, lash extensions, facials and Dermaplaning.
What inspired you to start your business?
I was a senior therapist for a small successful business for nearly 8 years, specialising in beauty and aesthetic treatments. I felt as though career wise I had gone as far a I could there. So I felt that the time was right to go for it, take the big leap and work for myself.
What do you love about running a business in Bath?
I love how there is a massive feeling of support from other independent businesses.
You’ve got five minutes to grab a sandwich, where do you go?
Chandos Deli – George Street. They’re friendly and the food is amazing!
Where’s your favourite place to book for a business lunch?
The Green Bird Cafe – The perfect environment for our small team to catch up over a light lunch. It also has the friendliest of owners.
Which bar do you head to after a tough day?
I haven’t been yet however I’m really keen to try Comptoir+Cuisine the newly opened Champagne and cheese, French bistro. I’ve heard great things about them and helps that they are only across the road from us.
Tell us about another Bath business you love and why?
There are too many to choose from it’s difficult to pick just one.
Support wise, I have to say Stanza Fitness. They opened a similar time to us and they have been super supportive with helping to spread the word about us.
I would also say BA1 Hair. Again, they are another supportive independent business and just around the corner from us. Perfect for when I feel as though I need a bit of pampering myself. They always make you feel welcome and I always leave feeling as though I’m on cloud 9 with the added benefit of a good hair day.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business in the city?
Get to know other local business owners, it will make you feel as though you’re a part of the Bath business community in no time.
